Xanthe Mosley

Xanthe Mosley

Xanthe Mosley's work examines the intricacies of the world through observation, experience and skill. Her precise eye has been developed by close study of the human form. She has spent many hours at The Royal College of Surgeons Hunterian Museum and The Horniman Museum making studies of skeletons and skulls. For many years now she has practised the regular and constant discipline of life drawing.

Xanthe puts her skills to use in landscapes, portraiture and farming life in several media; in oils, charcoal and latterly in large scale pastel, some of which can be seen in permanent position as a 100ft mural, from the windows of the maternity wing of the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
